Become a WOW Filmmaker

In partnership with STORY CAMP® and 321 PITCH®, the WOW Academy® offers rising filmmakers and storytellers the unique opportunity to share their view of the world. Get your shots featured in Windows of the World. 

Each accepted submission will be compensated and receive credit. WOW Filmmakers become part of WOW’s world connection and networks. Exceptional content is reviewed by a jury of filmmakers and wellness advisors. These submissions are compensated and recognized with the annual WOW Awards.

All submissions will be supported with personal coaching and guidance to help raise the quality level to acceptance. 70% off all submissions can be coached to a level of compensation and or award winning.

WOW Content Critera

Windows of the World (WOW) is a massive collection of 20-second scenes filmed around the world by filmmakers and cinematographers. In order for a shot to be considered for WOW, it must meet the following criterea so that our carefully curated collection of video maintains a coheasive look and feel.

Video Critera:

  • 4k resolution or better (6k or 8k preferred)

  • 16:9 ‘Horizontal’ or ‘Vertical’ aspect ratio

  • RAW video files only (Do not submit edited or colorgraded shots)

  • Every submitted clip should be 30-60 seconds long (We select the best 20 seconds)

  • Avoid people and faces in your submissions (WOW typically does not show people)

  • Submission must include:

    • Artist name

    • Date of shot

    • Shot location

    • Camera and lens info

  • For Drone Video:

    • Slow and steady maneuvers (image composition must be maintained for entire shot) (No camera jerks or changes in direction mid-shot) (Most WOW drone shots are slow forward movements. Panning shots are not as common)

    • Must adhear to all local rules, regulations, and laws for drone operations

    • Must have proper permissions to fly and video record

    • Do not use ‘digital zoom’

  • For Tripod Video:

    • No camera movements (Camera must remain locked down on tripod)
